Five days left in this historic campaign

If elected, Manny Nneji will be the first Black District Attorney and elected countywide leader in Ulster County’s history. He will also be the second Democrat to serve as DA in more than a century.

In these final days of campaigning, the desperation of Manny’s opponent and the Republican Party has reached a fever pitch. From a Kavanagh campaign flyer rife with antisemitic tropes to a national right-wing group spending $50,000 in attack ads against Manny, to a biased media outlet generating courtroom headlines to mislead voters about Manny’s record, the race has become ugly indeed.

The good news is, the people of Ulster County know better and Team Manny is working hard every moment between now and Election Day to get our supporters out to vote for safety and justice for ALL.

Early Voting continues today, tomorrow and Sunday. You can vote at any of six locations across the county. Election Day is Tuesday, November 7, and if you need to vote by absentee ballot, you can still apply in person at the Board of Elections in Kingston. Visit the voting page for details.

Watch Jen Metzger and Juan Figueroa speak about voting local, voting Democratic, and voting for Manny at the Early Voting Kickoff Rally.

In the news

After the Kavanagh campaign mailed voters a flyer featuring the offensive antisemitic trope of 'puppet-master' George Soros, many members of the community expressed their shock and disgust. The flyer falsely linked Manny to outside money and perpetuated what the Anti-Defamation League calls "long standing anti-Semitic myths, particularly the notion that rich and powerful Jews work behind the scenes."

Read the Op-Ed in Hudson Valley One by columnist and Rabbi Kris McDaniel-Miccio.

Manny’s campaign is run by people power—our team is a diverse group of individuals of all ages and backgrounds who live, work, and study in Ulster County. Kavanagh falsely links our campaign with outside money when it turns out the only campaign supported by an outside PAC is Kavanagh’s. Protecting Americans Action Fund, a national group with a Board led by the likes of Trump AG Bill Barr, election denier Lee Zeldin, and one-term congressman John Faso, has poured $50,000 into Ulster County to smear Manny in an attempt to elect his opponent.

Many letters to the editor have been published expressing outrage over these developments, along with letters of strong support for Manny. Read them in the NEWS section.
